Loving this new photoshoot backdrop we have!
Everything looks so good together heh. And full preview for tomorrow night's launch is up on TTR's FB page!
Almost ready to do up my #priceofmakeup post! I have the prices and photos at my fingertips (literally hahaha) but am getting ready to head out of the house soon.
I will be featuring 2 products in each category because I usually don't just stick to one product. I like having options so it really depends on my mood for that day. So I'll be averaging out the prices but also including the original prices in case you girls are interested!
I have yet to total the sum though. SO DAUNTING LA OMG.
IDS Non Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50 – $65.70 (sponsored)
I always apply sunscreen after my skincare routine and before my makeup routine. Even if my makeup bases come with SPF.
I'm sponsored by IDS so I won't be including the price of this sunscreen into the grand total.. But for your reference!
It's one of the best sunscreens I've used so far. Watery consistency and not one bit sticky! It's so spreadable and gets absorbed into my skin almost immediately.
My skin looks better somehow after applying this sunscreen too!
Sugar Advanced Therapy – $31
To prep the lips before applying lip colour! Have been using this awesome lip balm since a few years back.
This is my 4/5th tube already! I've definitely tried other lip balms here and there.. But I always end up going back to this.
The only thing is that I don't like to carry this in my bag since it tends to "melt". And I always misplace my lip balms?! $31 a bit too ex to misplace ah FML. Hahaha.
Benefit Porefessional Face Primer – $54
This sounds expensive but it really isn't. You only need 3 really tiny blobs to blur out your pores and make it look like you have flawless skin haha.
Got to try this product out when I first attended a Benefit event years back. They gave us a regular sized tube and I finished that. So this huge one is a repurchase! I've been using it for more than a year and it's still going on strong. Like cannot ever finish using one lol.
It makes makeup goes on smoothly plus make it look like my pores are smaller than they are.
It also has a mattifying effect which I really love!
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer – $30
This doesn't minimise pores as much as Benefit does. But I use this on days I want a more dewy complexion as compared to a matte look.
Got this in travel size during the Sephora sale because they were out of the regular size ones.
Which is actually a good thing really, since I can't be sure that I'll definitely be getting this again once it's used up. Haha.
Sorry for the intermittent updates btw!! Am out and can only update when I have pockets of free time, such as when I'm queueing for payment at Ikea.
Why does everyone swarm to Ikea on Sundays??? 😪
IDS Diamond Dust Perfector – $43.50 (sponsored)
If I can only choose one makeup step/product to keep, it would be this!
I don't know what's the magic about this but everytime I put this on, it makes my skin look x100 better than it really is. But at the same time, it still looks like skin which is not piled on with makeup. If you get what I mean?
It gives this extremely natural finish but provides decent coverage at the same time. My skin is combination type but my T-zone approves of this! 👍🏻
So on usual days, I use the DD Perfector. You just need one tiny bit for the entire face, so one small bottle can last for ages! 🎉
Then on days when I want a bit more coverage, I go for the MUFE foundation!
Makeup Forever HD foundation – $72
This is the perfection foundation because it doesn't break me out, stays matte for a relatively long time on my combination skin and is of medium coverage which is can be built upon.
But still, I don't use this every day because I feel that my skin breathes better with the DD Perfector. And this looks too flawless (hahaha) so I keep it for special occasions. Or days when I have to have my photos taken. Which honestly isn't too often.
I've had this for over a year and it's barely used lol.
ZA Ever Brows – $12
I'm not so particular about drawing my brows because I'm lucky enough to be blessed with okay looking and not too sparse brows. Some days I don't mind going out without drawing my brows too.
I've tried a few other brow pencils but so far this is the one I like the most! And convenient to buy also.
I don't have to be worried about being too heavy handed and end up looking like 蜡笔小新 because this is relatively light. I also like that it comes with a spooly at the end!
Mine is in 04 Honey Brown if I'm not wrong! They have around 4-5 shades? Hahaha. I really don't remember but you can check it out easily at Watsons or Guardian!
Okay pause ah.
Commercial break. Hahaha.
Just popping by to let you all know that if you're getting any regular priced item (apparels only!) off the website, you can key in <TOTEBAG10> and get this tote bag for $10 only instead of the original $12.90! 🎉
The Born To Shop tote bag will be launched next Sunday for those of you who are wondering!
At the wedding dinner of @jazreeltan and Leroy now. Will continue with the makeup updates later!!
Ma friend the prettiest and most radiant bride! ☺️😢 It's like words cannot express 1/100 of how happy I am inside!
Dollywink Liquid Eyeliner in Brown – $24.90
Heroine Make Liquid Eyeliner in Brown – $18.90 (sponsored)
I switch between these two and it depends on my mood for the day. If I feel like a stronger and more intense eye line, I'll go for Heroine Make.
I bought the Dollywink when I was in Japan and it was sooo cheap. Like $8 or something. Totally should have stocked up more haha.
I used to use black eyeliners but I find them too harsh on me. Brown is just about right. ☺️
Heroine Make only recently came out with brown for their brush version of the eyeliner and I'm really happy that they did!
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Exposed – $47
Super long lasting (definitely lasts more than 12 hours) because on long days when I reach home, the blush on my cheeks look good as I just applied it.
Pretty pricey but worth the investment! I have a few other tarte blushes but this shade is my favourite. Not too pinkish and it's the perfect everyday shade!
3CE Cream Blusher – $22
I definitely got it cheaper than $22 because I bought this from the Style Nanda store when I was in Korea more than a year ago.
Used to use this on an almost daily basis until the Tarte blush stole my heart. Hahah.
Anyway, one tube goes a longgg way. After a year or so, there's more than half left!
I use my fingers to apply this product.
It's still my go-to for lazy days or on days I need a quick flush of colour on my cheeks but have no time to sit down with a brush properly.
Innisfree Vivid Tint Rogue – $16
On days I wanna be fuss free, I dab this tint on my lips and I'm good to go! It's super long lasting and really staining (LOL) so minimal touch ups required. Very natural looking on the lips too, as compared to the usual lipsticks!
It also has this very fruity flavour which I love!!
The stain is so strong that even my fingers also kena when I apply it onto my lips.
M.A.C Satin Lipstick in Mocha – $27
Yay found a way to continue this post after 12!!
On days I wanna make more effort, I use proper lipsticks instead of lip stains. I do have a good number (and by that I mean I have so many that I don't dare to keep count) of lippies but these two are my favourites which I ALWAYS keep in my touch-up pouch.
Got this M.A.C at the DFS so it's slightly cheaper!
I also like Velvet Teddy but I find that Mocha wears better on me. Plus it's slightly more moisturising because it's satin not matte.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick In Stoned Rose – $50
Definitely one of my most expensive lipsticks BUT the packaging is also the most luxe. Hahaha. And it's in rose gold. Loveeee.
I have a couple from Charlotte Tilbury but this colour is my absolute favourite!! I have the photo of me wearing this colour somewhere, actually. Later go dig for it.
It's a nice MLBB shade for me! 💋✌️🏻
Okay I just decided. This is hands down my favourite lip colour amidst the many many lip colours I own.
It's just so nice and natural looking. Hahaha. The more I look at it the more I love it.
The lasting power isn't incredible though. Touch ups required after drinking and eating!
Okay so from here on are all the products I use in addition to all those above when I have extra time to spend for prepping or when I need to look extra decent for events or occasions.
Which isn't very often la come to think of it. Hahaha. My usual day to day routine takes me only about 10 mins max.
The Face Shop Concealer – $21.90 (sponsored)
I don't normally use concealer because lazy. Lol. I love this one sent to me by TFS because it has the stick end and the liquid concealer end! Love multipurpose products.
I mostly use the stick end for blemishes and the liquid end for undereye area.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – $15?
Forgot how much this was already!!
Switch between this and TFS for my undereye area. I don't like concealing the undereye actually. Still must set with powder to prevent creasing. Hahaha. Too much work leh.
Tartelette in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette – $72
I feel like eyeshadow is the most work of all because of all the blending and having to make sure both eyes are equal. Hahaha. Which can sometimes be a challenge when I'm rushing for time.
So eyeshadow for me is once in a blue moon. But recently I've been learning how to do it quicker!
Got this palette during the Sephora 20% sale so I didn't actually pay the full price for it. Yaay.
And I really love this palette for the colour payoff and the fact that ALL the colours are so wearable!
Each horizontal row is strategically positioned to enable you to create a complete eye look. So thoughtful I love the concept!!
I also have the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and Naked 3 but somehow this is my go-to whenever I feel like eyeshadow-ing.
I'm not too particular about which brushes to use. And sometimes I use my fingers too!
Too Faced Sweet Tea Bronzer – $42
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer – $78
I sometimes use bronzer on my cheeks instead of blush. And I love both bronzers equally!!
If I really really die die have to choose… Maybe the Too Faced one. It's much cheaper and I can use it as eyeshadow too!
Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Compact in Highlight 01 Golden Nude – $63
I own several but this is THE BEST highlight.
😍 😍 😍
Really. It's subtle enough and gives a nice glow.
Plus it doesn't emphasise the imperfections and pores like how most highlighting products do!
I'm so psyched to try out other Laura Mercier products after using this. Heh.
Heroine Make Long And Curl Mascara – $21.90 (sponsored)
Benefit Roller Lash Mini – $25
Not a fan of using mascara because my eyelashes always shed when I have to remove the mascara!! 😢
But when the time calls for it, I have two holy grail mascaras that I swear by and stand by.
Can't decide which one out of these two I love more… Both are equally good I feel!! 100% clump free, doesn't smudge throughout the day and super lengthening with just one coat.
Hahaha but no photos cause I forgot to bring the products out.
So yes that's all!
Now it's time to do some math. Lolol. Brb!
So the grand total of my face….
Is about $552.70. Roughly la. Not too bad eh? At least not as scary as I thought it would be!
And also, I didn't include the price of makeup tools like brushes because damn lazy to go Google! Some brushes I got in a set so it's difficult to break down the price also.
Hahaha. T'was a fun post to do although it took me quite some time… Hope you enjoyed reading it! 💋
