Dilemma of the week – to stay blonde or go back to dark hair?
Honestly it's not difficult for me to maintain this hair colour because my hair texture seems to remain decent through the many rounds of bleaching.
I already lost count but this is so far the most number of times my hair has been bleached. 5? Thanks to my awesome salon and stylist, my hair is still in healthy state!
As healthy as bleached hair can get, that is.
And also, I like how blonde hair goes really well with my tanned skin rn.
I miss having dark hair sometimes. Hahaha. Women are fickle creatures eh? Want this want that.
Or maybe don't change colour but cut shorter?
It's taking me a long time to dry my hair fully now that it's longer, and it starts to annoy me a bit. Especially when I'm rushing for time but I need my hair to be fully dry so that I can use curling tongs on it. Ugh. That frustration.
So troublesome leh to be a girl.
I think I might end up keeping my blonde hair for a while more because I don't wanna waste the previous rounds of bleaching. Hahaha. And I will miss having this colour on me. And it will be unlikely that I will make my hair this blonde again in future once I start going darker.
Really is #firstworldproblems + #girlproblems + #hairwoes hahahaha.
Dark hair, I will see you again.
But idk when.
Maybe when I get really sick of blonde hair la hahaha.
Also, last night marks the first time I've attended an Indian wedding.
It was held at the Sri Mariamman temple.
The dining area is 💯💯💯 So pretty with the dangling lights and confetti balls(?)!
There was an indoor dining area as well.
Such a cool idea right??
This legit working typewriter was placed at the reception for guests to type their well wishes out for the couple!
My friend Daryl going through the wedding rites.
They thoughtfully did up a guide sheet for their Chinese friends who attended the wedding so that we know what's going on. Hahaha.
The entire ceremony was conducted in Tamil so most of the time we didn't quite understand.
Their vows written in calligraphy! ❤️
Fwens I attended the wedding with!
Also saw quite a few other long lost friends but didn't have the chance to take photos with them!
Indian weddings are a little similar to Malay weddings. The most important part of the ceremony takes place at an auspicious timing. But other than that, guests are free to come and go and have their dinner at whatever timing they prefer!
Quite free and easy I would say.
And us with the blissfully just wedded couple!
So happy for both my friends Daryl and Hema. It's not easy finding someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with but they found each other.
May this be the most beautiful start to their lifelong love letter!
Too lazy for proper ootd today so this shall do.
Damn in love with this pair of pants!! It's the kind I'll bring on holidays to Bangkok/Vietnam/Cambodia/India hahaha.
Funny back story – we named this pair of pants Zuela Boho Pants but one of the office girls (I don't say who la okay) thought that it's called the hobo pants when she did the inventory count.
A whole world of difference you mei you???
Hahahaha. Made my Monday leh.
Said pants are now on backorder!! Don't miss out on this pair, really. 👌🏻
Me in Zuela BOHO Pants Black last week.
Kept both Navy and Black because it would be cruel to ask me to decide.
#ootd #TTR #thetinselrack
Also did a flatlay for it.
These are basically everything that I would bring along for a short holiday!!
Chanced upon this article "The Real Reason Why We Love Bad Boys, Toxic Partners and Emotionally Unavailable Men" and thought that the scientific explanation behind was pretty intriguing.
We all know of girls who only go for bad boys or how some people just couldn't walk out of toxic relationships but I never knew the scientific reasoning behind them.
Sounds emotionally unhealthy?
You bet it is.
Sigh 人是犯贱的 really
Nice guys are underrated really.
Nice guy > bad boy for me any day anytime!
You think you can be the one who fixes them and that love can overcome anything, but sadly most of the time it doesn't work that way.
Not gonna paste everything here but if you wanna read the full article here's the link – http://thoughtcatalog.com/shahida-arabi/2016/05/the-real-reason-why-we-love-bad-boys-toxic-partners-and-emotionally-unavailable-men/
If they wanna commit, they will. If they won't, there's nothing you can do/say to make them do otherwise. People who tell you that they have issues committing, that they are commitment-phobes?
Say bye to them cause most of the time, you won't be able to change them.
I'm not saying that it is ALWAYS the case… But I feel that even if they are afraid of commitment due to past experiences or FOMO or whatever, they will genuinely make the effort to work on their own issues instead of preempting whoever they are dating to not get your hopes up/let's just see where this goes/don't invest too much into me etc.
Damn bullshit one.
If any of my friends ever tell me that they're dating a commitment-phobe, I'll tell them to run.
As far and as fast as they can.
Cause if it's mostly likely gonna end up in heartbreak, for what leh. Unless you're not looking for anything serious la. Then okay go ahead. But sooner or later you'll get emotionally invested. Then what next?
Okay enough of my random thoughts.
I actually…. Feel like sleeping already. The latte I had at dinner last night kept me up at 4.30am so my sleep quality was damn bad last night.
