I'm so so so exasperated.
All the tedious and mundane administrative tasks for the new store lining up and waiting for me are seriously driving me nuts.
I'm so bad at dealing with all these paperwork and nitty gritty applying for permits/opening utilities account kinda stuff. I never knew that there are so many underlying procedures involved in opening a store. So many forms to fill and submit and so many approvals to seek.
Admin tasks are the bane of my life, I tell you.
And I guess these are the less dandy, unglamourous and not-so-fun parts of my job that people don't see.
But now yknow. I have sucky days at work too.
Okay less complaining, more working! Back to work. Ciao!
Still feeling vexed but ugh whatever let's move on.
I don't like too much negativity on my dayre so I refrain from pouring all my complaints here. I prefer to rant and forget. Or just bottle bad feelings until they disintegrate. Writing them down makes them stay around longer, I feel.
Anyway. Got some time before I head over to Gateway (yesss our new outlet gonna be there hehe 🎉) to meet the contractors so I shall list down the things which made me happy this past weekend!
Spent the later half of my Friday assembling a bouquet for my mum's birthday!
Chanced upon peonies while flower shopping and got really excited because I have been wanting to use them in my bouquets since forever. But I haven't seen them at the wholesaler before! Until Friday.
SO PRETTY BUT Y U DIE SO FAST ONE.
I would def think twice about using them in my bouquets in future because the petals kept falling like snow??? Lol.
It's really quite kuzhang one. Everywhere you walk you leave a trail of petals. Like a fairy. Hahaha.
Actually….. If I were to take in orders for bouquets, would anyone order from me ah?
Just thinking out loud because it's an idea I've been toying with in my head for a while now. But god knows I'm already busy enough with whatever is going on in my life. Lol.
I'm not going to do it as a full on kinda thing laa but more of something that I really love doing and don't mind giving up some of my free time for. Hmm. We'll see la hahaha.
If I have more than 24 hours in a day, then yeah I would probably be quite keen on starting this florist thing. But for now I think I would only be able to cope with a few orders here and there?
And since the orders won't be overwhelming, the profit margins would be really low since there's no economies of scale. Really is do for fun.
Ahh okay I really gotta think more about this first. Lol. 😂
Spent Friday night with the sisters. 💕
7.30pm to 1am at Star Vista because we had dinner at Guzman Y Gomez > ice cream at Marble Slab > grocery shopping at Cold Storage > sang our hearts out at Teo Heng hahaha.
I'm really huge on Mexican food recently!!
Guzman is pretty decent! The food's good and pretty affordable! I got 2 quesadillas for um $8.50 I think. I know under $10 jiu dui le. And you can choose 2 different fillings! I got spicy grilled chicken and pulled pork. Jess got the beef and it was pretty yumz as well.
Two other places I would recommend for Mexican food would be Super Loco (fab ambience!) and Muchachos. 🌮🌯
Never getting enough of guac! 😋😋😋 $2 if you wanna add it to your order. But super worthy cause it's quite a generous amount I would say.
The sisters went for hard shelled tacos! A bit messier to eat but tasty nonetheless. I still prefer the quesadilla though!!
Brought mum out for high tea at The Landing Point for her birthday because I had a good time when I was there for my birthday earlier this year! Thought she would enjoy it too. ☺️
The scones with clotted cream and jam were divine. Would have taken more of them if I had unlimited stomach space. Hahaha.
The staff was also really attentive and thoughtful! This staff Natasha in particular noticed that my mum was holding a bouquet of flowers and checked with Jess if it was any special occasion.
After noting that it was my mum's special day, she presented her with a pretty chocolate mousse cake!
Service 💯💯💯 really. The food was also as good as I remembered. Would def return again for special occasions.
Mum looking pleased with the surprise cake!
So when Natasha asked if we could write a feedback form for her, we were like "okay!!!! 😊"
We were a little puzzled at how the form was structured tho, because it's usually not in open ended format like the above. So we were like "uhhh nvm la just write great/awesome/good lor.. should be okay la understandable can already!"
Then I opened up the form to show the other side…… We burst out laughing.
HAHAHAHA. Damn paiseh please!!
We happily never realise that there was another side. They confirm think we bimbo. 🙄 Hahaha. Sheesh. What a joke. 😂
Grabbed a random passerby to help us with a shot.
Yes my mum wears #TTR. Hehe.
Helped her with her ootd shots too. Lolol. 我的妈妈很 trendy right 😂 still can pose all.
So beautiful, my mum ☺️

Went ban mian hopping with ZL on Sunday cause I wanted him to try Kin Kin! And I wanted to try the famous L32 ban mian too. Hehe.
Shared a bowl at each ban mian stall because stomach space not enough.
Also really wanted him to try to City Plaza version but maybe next time!
🍜 Kin Kin Chill Pan Mee – 534 Macpherson Road, opens 11am to 8pm daily
Teaching him the ways of pretentious social media shots lolol.
👧🏼: can you pretend to eat so that I can take a photo?
👧🏼: yes yes you got it, hold it there
But anyway! He prefers this because he likes his ban mian soupy. I used to only have ban mian with soup until I tried the dry ones. Now I'm a dry ban mian kinda girl. Hahaha.
I like the soup from L32 though! It's really light and sweet and didn't taste of msg. The thickness of the handmade noodles was just right.
Would go back again for weekday lunches! I wanna try their dry version someday.
🍜 L32 Handmade Noodles – 558 Geylang Road (lor 32), opens 11.30am to 9.30pm daily except Mondays
