SO EXCITED TO EMBARK ON MY WORK TRIP TOMORROW!!
In exactly 24 hours, I'll be on the plane enjoying my flight meal and in-flight entertainment.
I know, I know. I go for work trips like every month. So much excitement for what leh.
Somebody going with me la this time. And we're heading over to HK for a short two day trip after.
But first, gonna spend some sisterly time with the sisters and go grab some breakfast before settling all the shit I have to settle before I fly. Same old routine every month before work trip.
Gonna try to do a full update today so that I can show you guys the gorgeous items that we have coming up this weekend!!
Exploring a new cafe today – Botanist!
It's honestly a pretty place but the lack of air con is……. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 They do have air conditioned seats but the outdoor seats are much more photogenic. And also, natural light!
Place was quite empty (I suppose because they're new to the cafe scene as well!), we were there between 11am to 12.30pm. The lunch crowd slowly streamed in around 12ish.
Ehh haha I realised it's been long since I've dayre-d about any cafes/new food haunts! Maybe I'll scroll through my camera roll later and compile everything here!
Botanist is opened by the folks behind Pacamara so I had high hopes for the food.
If you don't know, Pacamara is one of the few cafes that I keep going back to… They are always packed, and for good reason!
They serve great coffee, awesome food and good vibes.
Got their house blend – Dark Matter.
Love it cause it's quite a strong bodied coffee without acidity!
When the coffee was served we were like "how come the logo like faded is it cause the cup wet" but actually it's the design of the logo! Hahahah. Wait lemme show you.
Like lak sek.
But if you see the enlarged version of the logo, it's actually silhouette of plants/flowers la. Haha.
More pictures of the outdoor area cause it's really pretty.
If only it comes with air con. Oh well. I guess we can't have everything in life. Hahaha.
Slow Roasted Beef Cheek got the 👍🏻 from us.
It was well braised and tender! We tore it apart rather easily without even having to use the knife.
Special mention goes to the eggplant! I also liked the bed of truffle mash it came with. Yummz.
The chicken quinoa salad was mediocre at best. Didn't like the fact that it came with plenty of pomegranate seeds! Not a fan of having them in my salads because troublesome. Chicken breast was not dried out but I think it lacked a bit of seasoning?
Our unanimous favourite was the Maple Pancakes!!!
💯💯💯 for presentation (THE EDIBLE FLOWERS DAMN PRETTY) and I loved that there were caramelised figs. Woohoo. The pancakes had a slightly crisp exterior and the insides were so fluffeh. 💯 would order this again on my next visit!
The only part untouched on this plate was the bacon which was too fatty and thick it resembled a pork belly strip instead wtf lol.

Side note but here's some update on the progress of the store!
Knocked down half the storeroom to let the light in. ✨✨
So happy that we managed to fix up 3 fitting rooms! Such a far cry from our first Pomo store where we didn't even have fitting rooms of any sort and poor customers gotta scoot off to the toilet to try the clothes on.
And we have so many mirrors at the new store yayhayyyy.
Gonna be back from HK in time for the grand opening so I guess I'll see you guys there! 👋🏻
And also… In case any of you are interested!
Other than the Courtney making a comeback this week (if you've already seen it on my IG!), we also brought back our very classic basic top – Blanc Swing Top!
Very standard one la the colours. Hahaha. Did them in colours which I'm recently crazy over!
There's also Olive, White and Black.
We kept an extra White piece because why not? For some reason our basic tops always go missing one leh. Keep one more just in case! Lol.
Jo was like "eh this week your #ootd colours all liddis one".
Actually……. For quite a few weeks already! I keep reaching out for colours like this.
Why I love the Blanc:
– Minimal effort when it comes to ironing
– Does not crease easily!!!
– Soft and cooling material woohoo!
If you don't own a piece of our ever classic top yet… This Sunday is the day. 🙌🏻
Of course we gotta do it in White again!
The other day at Populus.
Seriously love this place!! My third or fourth time here already. Buay sian. Lol.
They have another cafe called Senate Coffee, which sells grain bowls of sorts. But I prefer the food over at Populus!
Felt like something healthier so I got the superfood platter. Hahaha. Uhh it looks overwhelmingly green and obviously unphotogenic.
But I love the mish mash of the flavours!! There's kale, feta cheese, grilled broccoli, onsen egg, avo, and pumpkin seeds I think? Underneath that pile of greens is multigrains toast. Hahah.
SALMON BOWL WAS SO GUDDDD.
Love this windowsill cause it makes for nice photos!
Our lunch looking healthy.
Compensated for all that healthy food with this.
Idk whether got healthy dao but I guess it's not so bad if they cancel each other out. Hahaha. #selfconsole
Enjoyed this btw!! The waffle was okay but the soft serve was dabombz. Lemon and white chocolate. Not the creamy kind of jelat and not too sweet!
My favourite skirtttttttt 😍😍😍
Have been looking forward to this ever since placing our orders because I. LOVE. IT. SO. MUCH.
The previous version I kept in three colours. I don't think I've ever worn any other TTR design this many times. There was a period of time I wore it once a week in different colours. 😂 Obsessed much.
DIS MY FAV COLOUR – CLAY. From the new batch of colours we did.
Went a lil overboard. We have a total of 5 colours + Ash Blue from the previous batch!
This is a mixture of purple, brown and grey hues. So unique I likey. 😍
Ummm I kept 3 out of 6 colours. Hahah. So now I haz a total of 6 colours for this skirt.
Lemme show you all the colours in a bit!!
There's Deep Olive which I'm bringing with me on my trip. It's safe and secure in my packed luggage now. ☺️
And a very mellow, soft shade of Dove Grey.
There's also a nice blush pink shade for the girly girls! It makes a very nice skirt for CNY imo.
The first one from the right is our most popular shade from the previous batch – Ash Blue!
And my two favourite FAVOURITE colours – Soft Blue and Clay!!
These two are the first I snagged for myself. Haven't had the chance to wear Soft Blue out yet but I will, soon.
This skirt I absolutely adore because the fabric is so soft and so swishy! And also, they are my go-to whenever I feel like dressing up but lazy to iron clothes. Hahaha. I call them my magical no-ironing-yet-not-crumpled skirts! Just hang them up for a while and they'll self straighten.
