HK was where the holiday really began for me… 😌
Well the memories are already a little fuzzy so I doubt I can give a blow by blow account of the trip given my goldfish memory.
Grateful for the existence of photography because they are such a huge help in preserving my memories for me. Hahaha.
Until the day someone comes up with a way to extract memories from your brain and into something tangible that can be replayed every now and then, I'm definitely relying on my photos and dayre posts to safe keep these fleeting moments.
Our stay at Tuve Hotel was definitely memorable. It's one MTR stop away from Causeway Bay, at Tin Hau. It isn't the most convenient location for sure, but the concept and the decor won me over.
I mean, just look at the hotel lobby!
I haven't seen any other lobby which looks as futuristic as this. Lol. The reception table was square-ish instead of rectangular and we weren't quite sure where to position ourselves. 😂
The staff here spoke impeccable English and was really welcoming and warm.
Another shot of the reception area.
I really like staying at hotels with unique concepts and designs.
I like airbnbs too but sometimes it's just a whole lot easier to put up at hotels because there's housekeeping and hotel staff to help me with whatever I need. The prettier airbnb apartments can get really pricey too.
Okay pausing my updates for a bit while I head out for dinner.
Going to meet @missgoob for dinner and she bringing me for YTF cause it's ma favvvv too! 👌🏻😌
Awesome YTF #1 was all sold out when we got there 😭 so we moved on to YTF #2.
Was telling JH that we should have gotten one more drink each because voice damn hoarse after close to 3 hours of non stop talking. Hahaha.
About life, about managing your own business, about how our relationship timelines are eerily similar and about how our boyfriends like to read our Dayre in front of us (which makes us cringe damn badly LOLOL).
Was a good dinner!!!
Okay now back to HK! Guess I gotta turn back time to finish writing this post cause I don't think I can finish posting in 43 minutes.
Even the hotel lobby toilet gotta look so artsy. 😂
The hotel room wasn't big. It's Hong Kong we're talking about after all.
Not enough floor space to even open our luggage fully but that's the norm for a standard sized room I guess!
But this tiny hotel room was cosy and inviting. And I thought the wooden accents made a really nice touch.
The wonders of natural light. Hahahah. Any photo can look decent with natural light. 👌🏻
Our view when we stepped out of the hotel and looked up.
Ugh writing this post is really making me miss HK days bad. But okay we gotta move on with life. There's always the next flight out to look forward to!
Grabbed this earl grey milk tea from the convenience store and I LUVVVVV IT 🙌🏻
Everything was good during days in Hong Kong. Only the weather let us down. I brought knitwear but in the end I had #noknitforthem. 😂 IS IT PUNNY HAHAHA.
I didn't have an exact itinerary because that's not my style of travelling. My style is the lazy style. Lol.
I usually list out the main few places I wanna check out, have a rough idea which attractions to visit on which days, and also have a few food places researched just in case.
I'm totally chill if plans have to be swapped around.
It's a good thing that we're both pretty accommodating and generally laidback when it comes to travelling.
So far….. No complaints about this travelling partner of mine. 👌🏻 Give him 💯 hahahaha. I haven't asked him about what he thinks of me as a travelling partner budden he sure goes "what do you think?" "How i know what you think?" "As long as you think that's what I think can already what"
Forever talking in circles. Forever never answer my question one. 😂
Got a shock when we got to Victoria Peak because the queue for the tram was so long wtfff.
All the other times I went I've never seen such long queue. This took us an hour plus to clear. I think we walk also there already.
SO MANY HUMANS.
But this view.
Amazing as always.
The previous time I came here with @jongsy we stayed for less than 10 minutes hahaha. Too cold!
This time round, we stayed there for I think 45 minutes? Selfies were all damn fail but we just stood there huddled in the cold admiring the panoramic view of the city.
