Ascend – Elevated workwear for extraordinary women

"You finally have clothes appropriate for the workplace! We finally can spend money at TTR!" – was the collective response I got from all my OL friends when I brandished photos of the collection during gatherings.

πŸ˜‚ I guess it's been a long time coming. #overdue

The birth of this label started right after our mad CNY rush. It took a few weeks of tinkering around with @jongsy and @nakedglory to finally settle on the name, logo and tagline.

We envisioned the logo to be simple yet bold, with clean lines and a strong design. And of course my very talented graphic designer came through with that! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

(Well done Interns for this photo!! I love it! πŸ’•)

As the for the name, it should be rather intuitive as to why we picked it. ☺️

Ascend means to go up or climb; to rise or move up

I constantly get the feeling of not being good enough and while I used to feel inadequate about it, now I see it as motivation for me to push for and achieve bigger and better things.

I've never enjoyed feeling contented when it comes to work. Every now and then, I reflect and ask myself if we're staying stagnant. If we are, then I'll actively look out for improvements to be made or new directions we can head in.

So.. I guess the philosophy behind Ascend is a reflection of my attitude towards work and TTR as well.

And I love that it is!

Okay haha enough of my rambles I'll jump right in and show you guys what we have in store for our very first Ascend launch. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

First up is this loose fit shift dress which has an interesting colourblock detail!

We have 3 different colour combinations for this dress. You can head over to our FB page for full preview + measurements! βœ¨πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

If I were working, I would think that having a pair of well cut tailored pants is essential.

We included a little belt detail to spruce it up!

I kept this pair in Olive and Black! I am hardly required to dress up in formal but I like thatI can easily do a casual chic look with these pants. 😌

The material of this pair is rather crease free as well, which is something I like in my pants!

This is one of the more formal pieces in this collection for sure!

I like the flare sleeves! 😍

This would be the kinda dress I would love to wear if I work in a proper office.

Do I look like an OL yet? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

If I had to use one word to describe how wearing this dress made me feel, it would be "powerful".

It's a tough choice but this is my favourite of out the whole collection!! ❀️

That mesh neckline detail. 😍✨

My take on this piece.

Think it looks good with a pair of simple dangly earrings and hair tied back! A low bun would look really classy too!

For those who prefer mixing and matching, we did this in a top version as well. πŸ€— Launching all these at 8pm later!

Initially, we had a tough time trying to reconcile the design concept of our workwear pieces with the brand image of TTR..

It was a little out of our depth compared to the usual casual pieces because we were not used to it.

You'll probably see some lighthearted pieces here and there. Fun but work appropriate with some light layering! Much as Ascend is an extension of the TTR label, we still think it's best to be able to align the workwear style with our core brand image.

It's my belief that workwear shouldn't be all serious no play, anyway.

Here's hoping that Ascend pieces will make your work days a little brighter, somehow! ✨

And also, doing a PSA for this!

Many of you are probably unaware of our membership/loyalty points system.

If you're already otw to becoming our member, shopping Ascend pieces will get you there sooner! 😌
