Dewy skin, yes please!

I'm going to cheat a little… And post today's #TTR flash deal here on my Dayre!

Only because I think it's a really good deal. πŸ˜‰

*Does not apply to items from latest collection. T&Cs apply!

ASCEND's second collection is launching this weekend! πŸ’•

This waterfall slit skirt isn't the most work appropriate, that I admit. But it also isn't all that revealing so some workplaces might allow it…?

We were initially thinking of removing this from Ascend and placing it under the TTR label. But I thought this might be okay if paired with a more covered top! πŸ™ƒ

Hands down my fav piece from this week's collection.

Also great for more elaborate occasions like weddings etc. Am trying to save some dressy pieces because I have quite a few to attend. Lol.

Woes of being my age.

Dropped this and more new arrivals at our Gateway store earlier.

Comes in this nice pastel lilac, maroon and black. I kept the black too cause I thought it makes a nice evening piece!

Matched the skirt with my grey pompom earrings! πŸ’•

Totally perf for date nights too!!

Altho my date tonight is at the gym. With my trainer. πŸ˜‚

Before I go, gonna bomb you all with another photo of this lovely piece.

Very motivated to work out at the gym today after watching Wonder Woman!!!

I kept using this emoji on ZL after we caught the movie. Told him I'll blast him into outer space if he bullies me. LOLOL.

#thetinselrack #TTR

Really looks like the emoji, no?? HAHAHA.

Gal Gadot is so so so soooooo gorg sighhhh.

Her body is just perfect. 😍 My ideal level of tone! Cause I don't want to be overly muscular and bulky. Hers is just nice!!

I know. I'm hard to please.

Okay brb gonna go put in some hard work at the gym. Hahaha.

I'm thinking of sharing my super fuss free dewy skin morning routine!

Put together this routine through trial and error and found that this combination of products works best for my sensitive, combination oily skin routine.

Yaaaaas my skin is damn needy and problematic. 😩

My quick and simple 4-step morning skincare routine! After I cleanse my face la, of course. Forgot to include my cleanser in this shot but I'll drop it a mention later when I go through the steps.

I really like having the luxury of time to sit down and do a proper breakfast in the mornings while catching up on news/fb news/reading something inspiration to start my day.

So I guess something has got to give. Haha. As long as I got the important steps covered, that's good enough for me. 😢

There my cleanser!!

Using and loving the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel for the past couple of weeks.

It's meant for oily sensitive skin (das me πŸ‘‹πŸ») and I like that it's veryyyy gentle!

I alternate between this cleanser and my SKII one. I only use the SKII when I'm in the mood for pampering myself tho. Too ex. πŸ˜‚

Step 2 is toner!

I mainly go for lightweight, hydrating products in the morning.

I use either this Fresh Deep Hydration Facial Toner or the Mamonde Rose Water Toner. This feels more hydrating but the Mamonde one feels a lot more gentler on the skin. The rose petals floating about inside the bottle are so pretty. The rose scent isn't too overpowering and is slightly milder compared to Mamonde.

Fresh products are awesome but so darn pricey at the same time. Sigh. Lol.

The next step after toner would be to spritz this Missha Time Revolution Intensive Moist First Treatment Essence. Gawwddd why all the names so long. πŸ˜‚

I transfer this into a mini spray bottle which I got from Daiso so that it's more efficient to apply onto my face! Cotton pads waste too much product so I'm not a fan of that when it comes to essences.

With this I have to be careful not to overdo tho. Too much makes my face feel a lil tacky. 2 spritz is just perfect.

I'm thinking of trying the SKII FTE after I finish this bottle but idk if I should!! I used that a couple years back and didn't see very visible effects. And it's not exactly cheap either. 😐

Oh well, we'll see!!

As you can tell, I don't fancy having any products which are too rich and creamy on my face for my morning routine.

I opt for this Fresh Hydrating Eye Gel Cream in the day and switch up to a more nourishing one for the night.

This doesn't erase fine lines whatsoever but gives a good dose of hydration to the eye area! I do think that I'll be able to find one of a lower price range which does the same job tho, will go on a hunt after I go through this tub.

The star of my morning routine is this – Vichy Mineral 89. 🌟

I use this as the last step of my skincare routine instead of the first step after cleansing as recommended. Basically I use this as my moisturiser!

It's an ultra lightweight thermal water serum which is made of 11 ingredients only. Which I really like because I prefer products which are uncomplicated and to the point.

Here comes my favourite part of the Mineral 89…

It's infused with extra-pure natural origin hyaluronic acid. ✨✨✨

My favourite skincare ingredient of all time!!!!

I have so many hyaluronic acid sheet masks. Anything hyaluronic acid, I WANT.

What hyaluronic acid does is to act as a sponge to hold up to 100 times it's weight in water, and also act as a protective film to prevent your skin from getting damaged by external agressors.

My skin has always reacted well with hyaluronic acid products so I was really psyched when the Vichy team sent the Mineral 89 to me.

The texture of the serum is similar to the Hada Labo moisturiser which I mentioned in my May favourites, but lighter and more hardworking. Weightless would be the best word to describe it.

The absorption is so quick!

It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and mostly importantly, not tacky at all.

It's one of the requirements I have for my day time skin products. I dislike rich and creamy products which makes my skin greasy or tacky cause it makes applying makeup a hideous nightmare.

This is how my skin looks literally a few seconds after I spread the product out.

It makes the perfect base for makeup because it leaves my skin feeling plump and radiant, and extends the longevity of my makeup as well.

On days when I use this product, I get this unreal dewiness which is impossible to get from highlighting products.

I tested it out over the course of a month, on and off and I am pretty amazed at how the difference is so evident whenever I use this vs my usual moisturisers.

This was taken in the morning today.

My base is only my usual IDS non tinted sunscreen!

I would even call this product my holy grail for moisturisers. So so impressed by it.

Best of all, it's suitable for sensitive skin!

Definitely a product which I would be making a repurchase when it runs out!

Also wanna give a shoutout to the Vichy team for being such a dream to work with.

They have been sending me a couple of products since the start of last year, but have never pushed for me to share them on my social media platforms. I like that they didn't make me feel obliged. They also left it up to me to form and share my thoughts freely!

I chose to share about this not because I'm paid to do so, but because I truly like this product and believe in the efficacy of it.

For me, social media has always been a place to share about my daily life, my random ramblings, products which I love using and things which I like.

I don't depend on it to make a living and so I don't believe in getting paid to write positively about products which I don't like or don't believe in.

When brands want to do paid posts or send over their products, I let them know that I would only write the posts after trying out the products on the condition that they work well for me.

I cannot speak for all social media personalities/influencers/bloggers but at least that's what I feel la.

Why would I wanna risk my credibility and lose your trust in exchange for a few free products, right?

Some brands do expect posts as long as you agree to receive their products. But I always make my stand clear and if our working styles are not in line, then I would rather forgo the collaboration.

Simple as that.

I don't know how this post ended with my thoughts about product reviews/sponsored posts but I've been wanting to do that for some time now! Finally got that done and over with. Lol.
