Bedtime routine

What's on my vanity:

My selection of night time skincare for today (more on that later!), HUSH candle in Lavender for a soothing night of sleep, and the earrings which ZL got for me for our *somewhat* anniversary back in May. And behind all that is my lippies/blushes acrylic drawer. On the drawer is my tray of perfumes which I rotate according to my moods.

Every night, I have a standard routine to unwind before bed.

After I'm done with whatever work I have on hand, I take a shower and give my face a thorough cleansing with my Foreo Luna in purple.

Then it's on to smearing a ton of products on my face. Hahaha. It may sound tedious to some but it's therapeutic for me. I feel good when I take good care of my own wellbeing. β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘ŒπŸ»

My first step tonight is the Floral Hydro Toner from Mamonde. I'm such a fan of their toners! They have very simple and fuss free toners. My skin usually reacts well to their products, I realise.

My second step is this Blithe Vital Treatment 8 Nourishing Beans Essence.

Very slightly viscous but easily absorbed by the skin! The finishing is not sticky which I like. 😍 The white dots are the "beans" I suppose?

Third step is this. I've been using the Belif Peat Miracle Revital Serum Concentrate for a while now. And this is my second bottle!

These take really long to finish up though.. I think I started on my first bottle since 3 years back?

I like that this makes my face feel plumper the next morning! But I use it veryyyy sparingly though. It can get slightly heavy if I apply too much.

I like layering my serums at night if I can afford that extra few minutes.

And I'm sucha huge fan of Dr Wu skincare products even though they're pretty pricey for drugstore products?

My mum got me started on their stuff 5 years back and I've been using them till now, albeit on and off.

Recently I've been using this religiously and I really love the brightening effect. This is my holy grail serum for brightening, I swear by it!

Next comes the most expensive part of my skincare routine…

I'm strongly stand by my belief that every woman should invest in a good eye cream. I spare no pennies when it comes to the eyes because I feel like that's the most telling sign when it comes to ageing!

Bought this La Mer The Eye Concentrate during one of my trips at the DFS and have never looked back since. Lasts for super long and comes with a little massaging rod too. Loveeee. ❀️

I have a repertoire of masks which I stash away in my vanity.. And I use them accordingly to what I feel like my skin needs for that day.

This Faith In Face SOS one is my favourite out of all their masks!

My skin looks even in tone throughout, all the red parts like around the nose and acne scars fade drastically after I remove the mask. What sorcery is that I also dk. πŸ˜‚

Final step of the skincare routine I have planned for tonight – Naruko night gelly! I'm using the wine red one. Lazy to type out the super long and redundant name but lol basically it brightens the face and minimises the pores!

Got introduced to this brand years back and I've been an avid user of this particular range since.. This is my 4th or 5th tub already. 😍

Part of my nightly routine is being on the line with ZL.

He keeps me entertained for about 15 to 20 minutes before he heads to bed. Sometimes it's the other way round. Some days of mine are slightly more interesting and filled with more happenings and I'll do more of the entertaining. πŸ˜‚

I've come a long way when it comes to phone calls. I used to dislike phone calls but now I kinda enjoy them.

It's like this little pocket of time where we update each other about what went on during the day, which I relish.

Today, we talked about our renovations (nahhhhhh we're not getting a house LOL) and birthday plans (my birthday! πŸŽ‚). I get to have one birthday wish granted by him and I'm going to think veryyyyy hard about how to make it worth. HAHAHA. Ideas?

And then we said goodnight.

Some days, I go to sleep straight after we hang up.

Some days, I spend a little time with kindle before I call it a night.

Tonight I'm getting started on a Jodi Picoult book called Small Great Things.

It shall be an early night because I have an early start and a never ending work checklist tomorrow.

Goodnight, all you lovely people! πŸ’•

Oooh yes.

This is also part of my bedtime routine. No idea if it REALLY works but I do sleep a teeny bit better on nights I spray this on my pillow.
