Skincare routines + product reviews πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Hey beautiful/beauty loving friends!

I haven’t really been talking about new skincare/beauty products in the past few months. Not because I haven’t been trying out new stuff but because I simply didn’t have the luxury of time to test out + observe the effects + sit down and type out proper reviews for them.

I’ve tried out a new brand recently and am truly loving it, will share in this post!

Now that the rush of CNY is over πŸŽ‰, I’m back at it!

For the mornings

1) CNP Invisible Peeling Booster

2) Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

3) Tahpre Jealous Moist Shower Ampoule [PR]

4) Dr Wu Repairing System Advanced Antiwrinkle Eye Cream with Multi-Peptides [PR]

5) La Mer The Renewal Oil [SP]

6) IDS Non Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA+++

I’ve had the CNP for many months now, since the beginning of 2017 but I’ve only began introducing it into my regime diligently for the past few weeks. Idk why but I just wasn’t motivated enough to use it. During my busy spell, I noticed my skin getting more clogged and decided to pick it up and give it another go.

AND MY GOD. The results were beyond amazing.

ZL has a habit of staring at my blackheads intently (don’t ask me why, boys are WEIRD) every now and then. And recently when he did it (after a week or two of using CNP twice daily), he made a surprising remark “Hey how come you have lesser blackheads on your nose now?”

Can you imagine my delight when I heard that statement?? CAN YOU????

I didn’t notice it that much myself, but for an unobservant guy (who doesn’t even notice my changes in hair colour/length) LOL to say that, it must be obvious!

I generally try to leave the CNP on my skin for 10 minutes (if I can help it!) before starting on the rest of my routine for it to reach maximum efficacy.

The best thing is, PHA is much more gentle on my sensitive skin compared to BHA and AHA, which sometimes aggravates my skin. PHA is said to be able to chemically exfoliate + moisturise AT THE SAME TIME. 😍😍😍

Definitely keeping it as one of my holy grail acids from now on!!

This little bottle of La Mer magic was sent to me for a paid post on IG, but I really wanna share about it as well because the results are really astounding!

(Almost as astounding as the price point. Lol.)

Facial oils are not entirely new to me, because L’Occitane previously sent over their Immortelle Divine Oil and I’ve been using that regularly as well.

I like to mix 3-4 drops together with my sunblock in the mornings, and with my moisturisers at night! 😴 It gives the most surreal glow (I don’t even use my highlighters anymore nowadays) and what I love most about it is that it is not oily at all, absorbed SUPER quickly and smells divine with a slight floral scent. It’s comfortable to use, even if you tend to shun facial oils generally. Didn’t cause any breakouts for me at all!

It is also fun to use. You shake it up and it bubbles like a fizzy bottle of champagne. Hehe.

This miracle broth keeps my skin so happy and glowy!

I’m not sure if I will definitely shell out $390 to get this after it runs out… But I just might if I can’t find anything which gives me the same effect! 😳

Good news is, you can get a sample of this from any La Mer counter to try out before committing! πŸ˜‰

For the nights

1) CNP Invisible Peeling Booster

2) Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner

3) Dr Wu Intensive Whitening Serum with Vit C+

4) Tahpre Special Care Mask [PR]

5) La Mer The Renewal Oil [SP]

6) Tahpre Dream Cream [PR]

(Realised that I left my eye cream out in this photo! I use the SK-II Ultimate Perfecting Eye Cream at nightπŸŒ™)

Tahpre

This is a really new brand to me! I haven’t heard of it prior to them reaching out to me. It’s from the same company which brought Vely Vely to Sg!

I was curious about this brand and did some googling of my own before I agreed to have the products sent to me. I liked what I got from Google and started incorporating the products into my routine recently, after receiving them.

I got sent three items from their range of 5 free (no parabens/perfumes/artificial dyes/artificial preservatives/mineral oil) skincare –

Jealous Moist Shower Ampoule, Dream Cream and Special Care Mask

The ingredients list of Tahpre products are generally clean, and that makes me feel safe using them. I especially LOVE the Dream Cream and Special Care Mask!

The Dream Cream is said to be botox in a jar and has amazing anti-aging effects. Of course I had to try it out for myself. Ain’t getting any younger!! It has a high concentration (10%) of active ingredients which will make all you beauty geeks really happy.

The cream doesn’t feel overly rich but I didn’t put on too much. Just a light layer for easy absorption!

Peptides are the main ingredients in this cream and after several days of continuous usage, I noticed that my laugh lines and necklines became less obvious..!! 😱

My last precious piece of the Special Care Mask from the box of 3 I got sent.

I just ordered another 2 boxes off the site because IT IS THAT GOOD, GUYS. πŸ˜‡

I dare say, this is one of the most effective masks I’ve used. The results were instantaneous. I saw a plumper, brighter and more hydrated looking skin. My skin tone become so even!

There’s this numb tingly sensation while the mask sits on your skin. I was initially alarmed but it didn’t cause my skin to be irritated and there was no redness whatsoever. I like to think of it as the mask working its magic. ✨

I used it before CNY day 1 and here’s a selfie to show you how my skin looked, heh.

I don’t think I can ever live without this mask anymore.

Can’t wait for my 2 boxes to get shipped out to me!

If you’re wanting to give Tahpre products a go, I HAVE A DISCOUNT CODE!! πŸŽ‰

<JOYCE15> for 15% off storewide on Waseyo (excluding event/promo items) all the way till 11 March 2018.

    1. Hey! I’m not sure if this is what you’re asking, but the texture very light, easily absorbed and not too β€œstrong”! πŸ˜‰ anti aging products shd be used from late twenties onwards anyway, so it didn’t matter to me.
