Food for thought

When we force ourselves to stay positive at all times, we deny the existence of our life’s problems. And when we deny our problems, we rob ourselves of the chance to solve them and generate happiness. Problems add a sense of meaning and importance to our lives.

“One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.”

  1. Problems and facing up to them, overcoming them and solving them, help a person grow I suppose. So really, all those talk about staying positive (all the time) or seeking/pursuing a constant state of happiness, is just not realistic.

    1. Yeah! It was really awakening when I read about this paragraph in particular.. Talks about positivity are so prevalent on social media that many of us (myself included) just immediately feel bad for being negative when problems occur in our lives.
